G.C. Chops It Up With Tomacina Culmer

So this month’s Bahamas Stand Up feature is not a rapper ,singer ,musician ,this month we take a look into the the world of modeling with one of the Bahamas’s top models, Tomacina Culmer ….how are ya miss ?

 

Tomacina Culmer:

I’m great I can’t complain

 

G.C.:

Cool…so for those who may not be familiar with you , if i ask for your top 3 highlights of your career so far, what would that be ?

 

Tomacina Culmer:

I would say walking at “Islands of The World”, traveling and modeling in NYC and Guyana. Those three have opened so many more doors for me.

 

G.C.:

You mentioned “Islands of the World” what was that experience like ?

 

Tomacina Culmer:

Different from any other shows I’ve done in The Bahamas I’ll say that much. I never walked so much… before the show even started. I got to make a lot of connections with people I probably would have never met if I didn’t do that show. And the articles that came out after fashion week really made me want to go international even more. My images ended up in Essence and Vogue Black Italia.

 

G.C.:

So is what is your ultimate goal, is it to stay in the world of modeling?. ..how far is Tomacina trying to  take it ?

 

Tomacina Culmer:

I won’t stop until the world knows who Tommii is! Bigger than Tyra bigger than Naomi. I’m one Bahamian who plans on taking over when I get out there.

G.C.:

I feel you on that cuz i feel the same way .  Do you have anything coming up or that you are currently doing that the people should be on the lookout ?

 

Tomacina Culmer:

Well I’m going to be traveling to Trinidad and Tobago for San Fernando Week in June. I’m working on other things but for now that’s one show that has already been confirmed. Check out the link below:

Cool… Cool… always on ya hustle, I respect that ….I was watching a video from a few artists on our label and I noticed a certain someone playing one of the female leads ,shouts to QILLA FANG ,BRICK AND KEGEE K.I.D. PGE/STP …how was it doing a music video ?

 

Tomacina Culmer:

Oh yes! I loved it!! I loved the end result especially. That was the first time I had to be a “video girl” haha.. and it was so much fun!  The chemistry between me and Fang was just right and Ruckus Man really caught that. I was nervous but the minute Ruckus started to record it was ON!

 

 

G.C.:
